As an average iPhone user, what’s the likelihood someone replicates my face via a yet to be discovered technique vs watching me type my 4-digit passcode from behind my back or next to me before snatching my phone and having instant access to my passcode.

I have to think what the motive would be for unlocking my phone; while for a court it could be advantageous to have a passcode in trial, the likelihood of that occurring vs petty theft is probably 10^4:1.

I appreciate the skepticism and awareness the article raises, but fortunately I’m not Jason Bourne. 😄
